The gyms in Manhattan may be closed for the time being, but there are more virtual fitness classes online than ever before. Yoga Shanti
Yoga Shanti offers one of the most zen workouts in Tribeca, and at the moment they're streaming multiple live classes daily on Zoom and Facebook Live. The studio’s roster of teachers leads classes spanning Shanti Flow (in which you switch positions “with the grace of a dancer and the mindfulness of a yogi”) to meditation and chanting sessions. There's also a special “Midday Reset,” during which you're encouraged to peel yourself away from the work emails to explore mind, body, and inner wisdom.


SLTNYC
Cardio, strength training, and the toughest elements of Pilates are combined to form the full-on workouts at SLT NYC. (They use the hashtag #bettersorethansorry.) SLT at Home takes these sessions out of the studio and into your residence. A towel and some slippery socks are recommended for these 45-minute live workouts, overseen by a knowledgeable instructor.


DanceBody
As the name suggests, these classes are all about using the power of dance to sculpt and tone your body and to help you develop greater flexibility. DanceBody's series of online workouts invites you to work your way through the ranks, from beginner to near-pro — adding more complex moves along the way.
